There is nothing more rewarding than helping a student push past their boundaries and make real progress. In my capacity as an academic administrator and professional tutor, I have frequently had the good fortune to share in such growth. The secret, I believe, is to make sure that each student is supported not only academically, but also emotionally. When students know that it is okay to make mistakes and take risks, they are able to push past the limits and build their confidence. To truly connect with students, however, it is necessary to make the material relevant. Toward that end, I bring my love of sports, comics, and action movies into the classroom with me.I enjoy helping students with test preparation and writing skills. I consider myself skilled in helping students prepare for the ISEE, the SAT, the IB Extended Essay, Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Literature. I earned a Bachelor of Science in English Education and a Master of Arts in English from Long Island University, and enjoy sharing the knowledge I gained while studying for these degrees.
